Daughters of Boaz

When I came up with the idea of a blog for widows, I knew I wanted to center the concept around the story of Ruth and Naomi. I toyed with names like The Ruth Project or The Naomi Project, but upon research discovered that those were associated with agencies centered around Domestic Violence support. Not wanting to take away from the very important work that those agencies do, I dug further into the story of Ruth. Reading scriptures where Boaz referred to Ruth as “Daughter”, I began to research why he called her that. As she is family, this term is used as a term of affection, endearment. I decided on the name Daughters of Boaz because I want other widows, as well as myself, to find hope and good in the path that is Life after Loss.
